Access Attaché version 25.1.1, we continue to provide a desktop application that delivers a range of new features and functionality.
In this release we have updated our database to C-Tree FairCom Database to version 13. As a result, any prior version of your backup taken via Backup Scheduler will no longer be available to restore to when using Access Attaché 25.1.1 and above. The upgrade delivers improvements in performance, security, and functionality, ensuring a more robust and efficient database management experience.

As part of upcoming compliance changes in New Zealand from October 1 2025, user will no longer be able to add a deduction which applies to Kiwi Saver against an employee timesheet or adjustment pay.
Finally, we have added the New Zealand Tax Scales which were made available for your first pays as at the 1st April 2025. As well as the update Tax Scales for Australia which take effect from the 24th September 2025
And as always as part of our commitment to provide quality within our product, we have included several security enhancements and defect fixes which have been included in this release as well.
Important information for this release
Oracle has recently introduced significant changes to its Java licensing model, impacting organisations globally. These changes mean that the use of Oracle Java JDK now requires compliance with the Java SE Universal Subscription model. To avoid potential risks, such as audits, retroactive fees, or other penalties, it’s essential to ensure that all use of Oracle Java JDK is properly licensed.
At Access Attaché, we completed a review as we know the importance of maintaining compliance while minimising disruption to your processes. To support you during this shift, we’re introducing updated versions of Attaché – versions 25.1.1. This update includes a version of the Java JDK that is compliant with Oracle’s updated licensing requirements, helping you eliminate any financial or legal risks associated with these new obligations.
We are excited to announce that we are making significant advancements with the new FairCom version and its reporting capabilities. As part of this progression, we will be phasing out Access Attaché Clearview, effective with Access Attaché 25.1.1. This decision reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and the continuous improvement of our C-Tree FairCom database and underlying architecture.

Using Single-Sign on capabilities between Access Evo Workspace, Express Leave, Attaché Online and MyPay, for the first time ever your employees can now use one set of credentials to access all these solutions via one central location with the same username and password, no longer needing to remember multiple passwords or go to multiple websites.
Access Analytics is a powerful tool that helps you make smart, data-driven decisions. It turns your business data into clear insights, allowing you to spot trends, improve performance, and find growth opportunities. With Access Evo, you can use the Copilot Analytics plugin to ask business-related questions and get quick answers in areas like suppliers, customers, products, general ledger, and payroll. These questions can even be asked from your mobile phone giving you access to this data anywhere.
In Access Attaché Express Leave we have developed a Copilot plugin which allows employees and managers to query leave, approvals, ask who is on leave, what an employee’s balances and what are the leave policies associated to Leave Types without the need to login to Express Leave. Using Access Evo feeds, you can review, approve, or reject leave entries, approve timesheets, and approve time tracking with a simple click of a button inside your feed notification direct from your mobile phone.
In Access Attaché Online, notification of pending STP batches ready for submission are available for you to review and action within the Access Feed Notification. You can also assign Multi-Factor Authentication to allow a seamless journey by reducing the time it takes to complete your task as an STP Administrator.
In Access Attaché MyPay, a notification of a newly received pay advice will direct you straight into our Access Evo MyPay app. By selecting the option of Activate Access Evo Payslips, users can see latest information relating to Gross Pay, Tax, Net Pay and Superannuation as well as being able to download payslips.
In Access Evo, you no longer need to be just a laptop, desktop or tablet to access all your important information. All the information outlined above regarding to Access Evo Feeds and Feeds is available on the mobile app. This allows you to access all your business information quickly and efficiently before walking into that important business meeting with a client or approving an important leave or timesheet request for your Human Resources manager while you are away from the office.
Collaborate with Evo docs skill, store any business documents in Collaborate to help users find the answers they are their looking for in minutes with AI capabilities in a secure way. This could include policies – like leave or expense policies, onboarding materials, employee handbooks, product catalogues or any other documents that your people need to reference and often struggle to find can now be simply queried via copilot.
New Zealand Payroll
Prevent KiwiSaver Deductions
As part of the upcoming changes in October 2025, any employee who has a Tax Scale assigned as WT (Witholding Tax) will no longer be able to process a timesheet or adjustment pay with a deduction contain the type of
K = KiwiSaver.
Error message will appear as a Warning message in the bottom left-hand corner saying the following: “WT Tax Code employee cannot add a Kiwi Saver Deduction”.
New Zealand Tax Scales
The updated New Zealand tax scales for 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, have also been included in the installation of Access Attaché 25.1.1.
Australian Payroll
Australian Tax Scales Update 24th September 2025
The updated Australian tax scales for 24th September 2025 to 30th June 2026, have also been included in the installation of Access Attaché 25.1.1.
Removal of Flood and Cyclone Levy Message
With the implementation of Co-Efficient B values for the Study and Training Support Loan, we have moved to Tax Impost 3 as the option to calculate the values correctly.
However in previous version of Attache, there was a 2 prompt message that appeared for the Flood and Cyclone Reconstruction Levy. This has been removed as it's no longer required in our product.
Essential tasks for every upgrade
Before you upgrade, please ensure you first:
Read these release notes and any associated release documentation, including the Upgrade Instructions and Known Issues (if any) for this release.
Open all companies inside your Attaché Desktop application to be confirm if the companies open without error. Any errors, please contact our Attaché Support Team for the best course of action.
There are 3 files during the upgraded that may require additional hard drive space either during the upgrade process or permanently:
Faircom.FCS – located in the AttacheServer root data directory folder.
Ctdbdict.fsd – located in the AttacheServer root data directory folder.
[Datasetname].fdd – located in the database folder inside a SQL_SYS folder.

Take an archive of your Attaché data.
Take a copy of ctsrvr.cfg: If any configuration changes made inside the ctsrvr.cfg at the recommendation of Access Attaché Support or Professional Services Team, it is recommended that you take a copy of the “ctsrvr.cfg” file to allow you to apply these settings again after you have completed the upgrade of Access Attaché 25. This file resides in the AttacheServer data directory. to locate the directory, see the Find Attaché technical information link above.
Do you use Powerlink or Clearview: If you currently utilising Access Attaché Clearview, we encourage you to reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Account Manager at Attaché[email protected]. Our team will be available to discuss your business requirements. For Powerlink, we encourage you to reach out to YearOne Software Pty Ltd to get the latest Data Service to allow a smooth transition in your upgrade to Access Attaché Version 25.
