Attaché Desktop has a number of areas you can check for system information:
The System menu:
Finding the Attaché Program directory,
Attache data server name.
Attache data base name and data directory location.
Resource location: contains Asset Management data, Images, Print layouts, Screen layouts, User data and custom reports.
The Help, About Attaché menu.
The Shortcut, History and System menu.
The Data Checks menu.
Attaché Data Files.
The System menu
Accessed from Tools, Company, System menu. There are several key menus in this task area as detailed in the sections below.
System Status
Contains details for:
Drive/Directory Details:
The Attaché Program Drive and Directory.
The Attaché Database Server.
The Current company you are accessing.
The Current Resource location for that company (within the program directory).
Login Details: Number of current logins.
Diskspace details:
Size of program Drive.
Free disk space.
Program directory file details.
Company Details:
Company.
Database Name.
Resource Location.
Company Database file details.
The Directory (F4) button gives more detailed info on each Attaché Database file.
The Users (F5) button displays details of each currently logged in user.
Next (F11) and Previous (F12) displays the information for each Attaché company.
Find (F2) allows you to search and select a company name.
System Information
Is a snapshot of the main system information on one screen.
Modules installed
Displays the Attaché Modules you currently have installed.
System Audit
Contains detailed version information on individual components of Attaché.
The Help, About Attaché menu
Accessed from Help, About Attaché. A cut down overview of the System Status information above. Also contains the link to Expire Supervisor Password and links to the Modules Installed menu.
The Shortcut, History and System menu
Click on the Horizontal Lines icon at top right of the Attaché Screen.
The Shortcuts tab displays all of your set up shortcuts within Attaché.
The History tab shows a list of the most recently opened programs within Attaché.
The System tab shows Document Delivery, Logged in users, and System information.
The Data Checks menu
Accessed from Tools, Company, Data Checks menu. This menu contains utilities to manage your database files. See the following articles:
Attaché Data Files
The Attaché database will be located on the Attaché Database Server as per the details above. Important! Attaché recommends making no changes to ANY FILES that reside within the folders listed below unless directed by an Attaché support engineer or consultant.
The data resides in a folder called AttachéServer. In this folder, each individual Attaché company database resides under the Data folder, then within a folder titled the <Database Name>.dbs.
For example:
Physical drive: C:\AttacheServer\Data\Sample_data.dbs or;
UNC path: \\<Attaché Database Server>\AttacheServer\Data\Sample_data.dbs
(substitute Sample_data.dbs for your company name).
