There are a lot of factors that could be contributing to the slowness of Attaché. See below on how to mitigate the issue.
📌Note: you may need your IT/Network Administrator to perform the tasks below
Restart the Attache server.
Check and configure antivirus exclusions list
Check Task Manager performance
Have task manager open whilst using Attache to see if performance is peaking during certain tasks.
Delete user's Attache cache
Close Attaché Software.
Open windows File Explorer.
In the top of the file explorer (Address bar) type in %LocalAppData%.
In this directory find folder 'Attache Software Australia Pty Ltd' right click and rename that folder to 'OLD Attache Software Australia Pty Ltd'.
Re-open Attaché software.
Run the database compression utility
Run the File Index File Optimizer utility
Disable Enhanced User Interface on a user's profile
Go to File, User Preferences
Tick Disable Enhanced User Interface
Click Accept (F9)
Ensure you are using Attaché on a wired internet connection.
Compare Attache's performance - Server and Workstation
Compare the performance of Attaché on the Attache Server and a user's workstation and see if there's a difference. Rebooting the user's Terminal server or local machine may help.
Check if Microsoft Fair Share is enabled
If you are running Attaché on a terminal server, check that Microsoft Fair Share is enabled. If it is enabled, have your IT network administrator to disable it.
Notes:
Some of the steps above may not be applicable for sites who are using our Cloud Hosted Services.
If none of the above improve the performance of Attaché, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.
