Attaché: Report, pay advice or document won't print to printer but when I do a test print from control panel it prints

Updated over a month ago

Follow the steps below to resolve this issue.

Test printing via windows control panel

Make sure you can print via Windows Control Panel to do a test print to the printer. If that doesn't work, then work with your network IT/administrator to fix your printer or printer drive

Clear your application cache files

If you can print from control panel test print but not from Attaché. Clear your Application Cache files.

  1. Close Attaché.

  2. Open Windows File Explorer.

  3. On the Address bar, type %localappdata%

  4. Rename the folder Attache Software Australia Pty Ltd to Attache Software Australia Pty Ltd Old.

Check your printer is set as the Default printer in Windows Control Panel

Make sure the printer you want to use is 'Set as default Printer' in Control Panel.

Clear printer settings in Attaché

Clear printer settings in Attaché, then log back into Attaché go to the report/pay advice you want to print

  1. Open the report preparation screen (Output).

  2. Note down the settings you use, as these will be reset to defaults for the report

  3. Page Down to the Output tab.

  4. Click or press Clear (F7).

  5. Close the preparation window, reopen it and try to print the report to screen (and send to printer again if required).

  6. When you go to print the document/report/pay advice don't select any printer just leave as None Selected this will revert to the default printer in windows.
