Attaché: Restart or check the Attaché API and Database services are running

To check Attaché services are running correctly on your Attaché server after a reboot or check Attaché services are running, follow the steps below. Complete these steps on the server where Attaché software is installed. You may need your IT Network support to help with this.

📌Note: If you are using Attaché Cloud Hosted Services, you will need to get Attaché Support to check or restart the Attaché Services. Please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article, or if it is urgent, Contact Attaché telephone support.


To check and restart Attache services

  1. Log all users out of Attaché software completely, so there is no risk of data loss or corruption.

  2. On your Attaché server, click the Windows Start button.

  3. Search for Services.msc and then click to open.

  4. Find Attaché API Service & Attaché Database Service and make sure both are running as seen below

    • If they are not running, right-click and choose Start

    • If they are running and you want to restart, right-click both and press Restart

  5. Open Attaché from the desktop shortcut, log in and check they system is working properly.


If you are still having troubles with your Attaché you may want to get all users logged out and reboot the Attaché server. This fixes many common issues and will also restart the services at the same time.
