Attaché Cloud Hosted Services: Free up space on D Drive

Updated over 3 months ago

The Attaché CHS team monitor your CHS environments and receive alerts when your diskspace is getting low and will notify you if we find your disk space is nearing capacity.

When your D drive on the Cloud (CHS) server is nearly full, it is imperative that you free up some space immediately, normally by deleting files, in order to prevent any serious issues. It's also very important for you to understand how to manage your CHS disk space yourself.

Deleting or Moving files in your CHS environment

To delete files, do the following:

  1. Launch File Explorer (Work Resources) to gain access to the files on your Servers D drive.

  2. Navigate to D:\Apps\AttacheDesktop\Archive folder.

  3. Select the Company folder for the archives. (Each Attaché company that you archive has its own sub-folder).

  4. Sort folder by Date (click on the Date column heading).

  5. Select older archives and Delete.

📌Note: if you would prefer to keep the older archive files and move them off the CHS environment to your own data storage, see: Copy or move files on Cloud Hosted Services.

Other Files and Folders to check to free up diskspace

There are other files & folders other than Archive files that take up space, such as:

  • KFI files.

  • Saved reports.

  • ABA Bank Transfer files.

  • Product Images.

These can be managed or moved in the same way. See: Copy or move files on Cloud Hosted Services link above if you need to transfer these sorts of files off your CHS environment to free up diskspace.

📌Note: Please take care with deleting/moving files, and if you are not 100% sure, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.

Increase your CHS diskspace

If you would like to increase your D drive space on the CHS server, or have any queries regarding the above, See: Contact your account manager to request a D drive space increase.
