Attaché: Expire and Reset the Attaché Supervisor Password

Requesting to expire your supervisor password

If you require your Attaché Supervisor password to be reset, you will need to do the following:

  1. Please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.

In order for Attaché to expire your Supervisor password, please attach an official request on your company letterhead, signed by an authorised staff member.

📌Notes:

  • The authorised staff member should be the CEO, the owner or CFO of your organisation. Include the text below in the letter:

    "Please expire our supervisor password. We will be expiring the supervisor password whilst logged into Attaché as user <USERNAME>"

  • <USERNAME> is the actual username you will be logging into Attaché with.


The process to expire the supervisor password from Attaché

Once you have been notified by Attaché support that the password has been flagged to be expired in our systems,

  • In addition, add a comment within the case screen to advise Attaché support that the letter has been attached to the case.

  • Attaché Support will then expire the password and notify you when this has been done.

    1. Log in as the specified username as per above.

    2. Go to Help, About Attaché and click the Expire Supervisor Password button.

    3. A confirmation message will come up confirming 'Have you requested that the Supervisor password be expired? Select Yes.

    4. The supervisor user password has now been expired.

    5. Exit Attaché as the logged-in user, and log in Supervisor.

    6. Enter a new password, click Ok. There will then be a prompt to enter in the new password again.

    7. Once completed, the supervisor password will now have been reset.
