Attaché payroll: Hours per day, Days per week fields on the Masterfile leave tab

The Hours per day, Days per week fields are generally used for the leave calculation when the Entitlement or Entitlement period is based on a number of days or weeks in the leave table code. If you are displaying the Entitlement balance in Days, then this field will also be used. Refer to the Setups, Payroll, Leave tables, Enquire screen.

These fields are also used when you Estimate leave for a termination on the Masterfile Leave Enquiry page in Payroll, Masterfiles, Employee Details, Enquire or when you are running the Leave Liability report and select Estimate Accruals to a date. This report is found in Payroll, Reports, Leave.

If an employee does not work regular hours, average out the hours over the date fields so the total hours for the week are correct or use the number of hours used if the employee takes a day of leave e.g. 7.6 hours.
