This article details the descriptions below of the main fields you see from Employee Masterfile Leave table. This table is accessed from Payroll, Masterfiles, Employee Details, Maintain (or Enquire), Leave tab.
Field Name | Description |
Leave accrued up to and Including date | The last time the employee accrued leave typically when they were last paid. |
Leave Start date | When leave started accruing for the employee. This is normally their start date but if they were originally casual worker then this may be the date they were eligible for leave accruals i.e. when they were made permanent. |
Last Entitlement date | This is the last time leave became an Entitlement for the employee. This is determined by the Leave Table code that is assigned on the Leave table. eg if the leave is setup to accrue 4 weeks per year then the last entitlement date would be the start date anniversary. But if leave was accruing by Hours Worked and the Entitlement was say one hour worked then the Last Entitlement might be the last pay. |
Entitlement Owing | Leave that the employee is entitled to. |
Pro rata Owing | Pro-rata is the progressive leave accrued since the anniversary of the commencement date. The employee does not qualify for this leave until working the full entitlement period.
For annual and sick leave this is normally still an entitlement as employees are entitled to all leave accrued. |
Contingent Owing | For Long service leave a balance might sit here until the employee has reached their Contingent Period as set in the Leave table code setup screen. This is not a balance that the employee is entitled to as yet. |
Hours per day | The hours the employees regularly works per day. |
Days per week | The number of days the employee works per week. |
📌Note: the combination of Hours per day and Days per week are used to calculate the accrual when it is setup to accrue by Date based on days, Hours or weeks for a period of time.
