Attaché Payroll (Australia): Pro Rata in the Employee Masterfile Leave table

Updated over 3 months ago

Pro-rata leave is the amount of leave accrued by the employee but not yet available. The employee is not entitled to this leave until the end of the entitlement period.

You can view the Pro-rata leave owing from Payroll, Masterfiles, Employee Details, Enquire or Maintain, Leave tab, and then see the Pro Rata Owing column in the Leave Table.

In Leave Accrual Table Maintenance (Setups, Payroll Leave Tables, Maintain), if you set the Pro-Rata is Applicable field to Yes for a leave table, you can view and modify pro-rata leave in the Employee Masterfile and print pro-rata leave on all leave reports. You can also enter a contingency period which must be completed before pro-rata leave can be accrued. If this setting is not set to yes, the pro-rata amounts in the Employee Masterfile leave table will be greyed out and not able to be edited.

If you set the Pro-Rata is Applicable field to No, Attaché Payroll still calculates pro-rata leave but it is not displayed on reports (except for the Leave History report) and cannot be modified in employee maintenance.

You cannot set both Accrue in Advance and Pro-Rata is Applicable to Yes. This field does not display for Accrue in Advance leave.
