Attaché Payroll (Australia): Manage and submit batches in Single Touch Payroll

Updated over 3 months ago

In your Attaché Online organisation, as an STP Administrator or Organisation Administrator, you can access the Single Touch Payroll menu to manage and submit your Payroll batches to the ATO. See: Create a new user or manage existing user logins in an AO organisation.

The Single Touch Payroll batch list screen allows you to manage and submit your payroll information as you process each pay. The screen is designed in a way to encourage STP users to submit their payroll information on or before the date paid of the pay event. See: Compliance to ATO rules and regulations.

Since 01 July 2023, Single Touch Payroll information now prefills to the ATO Electronic BAS. This means you now need to submit EVERY STP batch to the ATO: See: Prefilling of Single Touch Payroll Information to W1 and W2 in the ATO Portal Electronic Activity Statement.

Access the Single Touch Payroll batch list screen

  • Date Paid: The date paid that was set when you checked your pays in Attaché Payroll Desktop.

  • Batch Gross Payments: The Gross Pay amount of the Pay event as processed in Attaché Payroll Desktop.

  • Batch PAYGW: The taxable amount for the Pay event as processed in Attaché Payroll Desktop.

  • Version: STP2020 means you are using Single Touch Payroll Phase 2 (STP2) which is the latest STP version). STP2018 is STP1.

  • Status shows for each batch in the list. See: Single Touch Payroll batch statuses.
