Attaché Payroll (Australia): The Income Statement report in Single Touch Payroll

With Single Touch Payroll, the Attaché Income statement report replaces individual employee payment summaries and shows year-to-date salaries and wages, tax being withheld, and the Superannuation Guarantee amounts reported by the employer. At the end of the financial year, this Income Statement will have the information required for employees to prepare their tax return.

With Single Touch Payroll, employees now receive their individual Income Statements directly to their MyGov ATO portals. The Attaché Income Statement report summarises All employee YTD reported amounts, and the figures in the Income statement should match the figures each employee sees in their MyGov ATO income statement. An income statement report is available for any STP batch that is created after processing a pay.

To access the Attaché Income statement report:

  1. log into your Attaché Online organisation as an STP admin or Organisation Admin user.

  2. Click on the Single Touch Payroll menu.

  3. Open the most recent STP batch.

  4. Go to the Reports button, then click on Income Statement.

  5. The income statement should load up as an Excel file. Click the Open button to open the Income Statement report.

  6. The report opens displaying Totals under each heading as per specified by the Single Touch Payroll ATO requirements. items report into the various areas in the report based on the configurations in the STP Setup menu and the configurations of pay elements in Attaché Payroll Desktop Setups.   7. The report contains a number of worksheets:

    • The Batch number totals worksheet: Contains the totals for all employees as per specified by the ATO. The batch number will be referenced in this worksheet. The amounts shown are the YTD amounts at the time that pay was processed.

    • Allowances: Shows allowance totals per employee

    • Paid Leave: Shows Paid Leave totals per employee

    • Salary Sacrifice: Shows Salary Sacrifice totals per employee

    • Lump Sum E: Shows Lump Sum E totals per employee

    • ETP: Shows ETP payments per employee

    • Employee Details: displays all employees and related details included in any STP batch in the financial year. Will also display terminated employees, their termination date and their former employee status.
