A common reason for this error is due to the API service not running on the server where Attaché is installer or there is a loss of connection between the network drive and the server.
Please complete the following steps to check if the API is running on the server. You may require an IT person to assist with this if you do not have access.
Ensure the Attache API service is running under services.msc with administrative rights or the local system user. Re-enter login details if necessary. to restart the Attaché API service, see: Attaché: Restart or check the Attaché API and Database services are running
Confirm if Attache is working on the server if you are using a workstation - Client setup.
If it is running on the server but not on the workstation:
Ensure that the Antivirus and Firewall is turned off.
Check if the ports are being blocked. Ports that are needed to be opened are 6597 and 6587.
Manually (re)installing Visual C++ 2013.
