Attaché Payroll (Australia): Single Touch Payroll Phase 2 (STP2) resources

Updated over 3 months ago

Single Touch Payroll Phase 2 (STP2) expands the information you need to capture and report to the ATO with each pay run. As a result, your payroll system requires several checks and changes, including an upgrade to Access Attaché version 21 (or later).

If you choose to carry out your own STP2 checks and implementation, you should use the checklists below.

To meet the STP2 reporting requirements, you will need to carry out the following

  1. Check that your current setups and employee data are correct. The STP2 Preparation Checklist describes the checks required to ensure your system is ready for STP2.

  2. Configure new settings and data mapping in the desktop and Attaché Online. The STP2 Implementation Checklist outlines the required setups and data reclassification for STP2-compliant lodgments.

To carry out both the Preparation and the Implementation tasks, you should have a good working knowledge of Attaché Payroll setups and how your payroll data is used for STP reporting.

To ensure you carry out the tasks in the right order and at the right time, read the checklists before you commence your STP2 setup.
