Attaché: An employee is not receiving the Alex pay advice notification email

Ensuring that pay advice emails are delivered correctly is crucial for smooth payroll operations.

Here are some examples that may cause an employee to not receive an Alex pay advice notification email.

  • Emails from [email protected] have been marked as spam.

  • The email address might be in our impression list. This will happen if the receiver has marked the email as spam and our system has acknowledged it and will not send any more documents to that address.

Resolving issues with receiving a pay advice notification email

If you encounter issues where pay advice emails are not being sent to specific employees despite the settings appearing correct, follow these troubleshooting steps below.

📌Note: before making any changes, take a screenshot or note down the current delivery settings for the affected employee. This will help you revert back to previous settings if needed.

  • Emails marked as spam: Ask your IT to whitelist this address or do a Google search on how to whitelist for your email provider.

  • The email address on our impression list: Please contact support via MyAccess portal and reference the title of this article, so we can investigate further.

  • Other steps you can do yourself:

    1. Open the Access Attaché desktop application and navigate to Tools, Document Management, Employee Delivery Address Manager.

    2. Locate the affected employee's code in the list, delete the existing delivery address entry, and recreate it with the following settings:

      • Delivery Method: Set to Email.

      • Type: Set to All.

    3. Save the changes and reprint the pay advice for the affected employee to confirm that the email is now being sent correctly.

    4. Double-check the employee’s email address for accuracy before saving the new entry.

    5. Ensure that the email server settings in Access Attaché are correctly configured to avoid broader email delivery issues.
