Attaché Payroll: Error creating ClickSuper transfer file: violates minLength constraint of '1'

The following errors have been detected in the XML file to be uploaded to ClickSuper:

Line number: <line number> <FieldName></FieldName>

Reason for error: “violates minLength constraint of ‘1’. The element ‘FieldName’ with value ” failed to parse

The XML file (ClickSupr.xml) is in the data directory for this company. It will be overwritten the next time ClickSuper export is run.

If you are experiencing this issue when creating your ClickSuper transfer file, the cause will be due to invalid or missing data at the line number specified in the error message. To resolve this issue, see the steps below.

  1. Locate the ClckSupr.xml file in the company resource directory.

    📌Note: to confirm the company resource directory, see: Find Attaché technical information.

  2. Right click the file, and select Open With, Notepad.

  3. Navigate to line stated in the file to find the entry (as you click a line in the file the line number will display in the bottom left corner of the Notepad window i.e. Ln 1, Col 15).

  4. Confirm on this line number which employee the error shows against.

  5. In Attaché, Go to Payroll, Masterfiles, Employee Details, Maintain.

  6. Enter the Employee Code.

  7. Re-enter in the missing details in the employee Masterfile i.e. First Name, Surname etc.

  8. Click Accept (F9) to save the changes.

  9. Re-run the ClickSuper transfer and confirm no errors.
