Express Leave integrates with Attaché Payroll. Users are entered in Payroll, and then their details sync to Express Leave.
Change the email address
If an email address needs to be changed, and the user is synced with Payroll, you will need to update the Attaché Online Email Address in Payroll, Masterfiles, Employee Details, Maintain, Online Services tab in Attaché Payroll.
If you do not update in Payroll but simply update it in Express Leave, the updated email address will be overwritten the next time you sync with Payroll.
📌Note: You can easily identify synced Payroll employees in Express Leave. In Express Leave (as an Administrator user), go to Manage Users, look for the Payroll User column, and if there is a YES in that column for the user, they are synced with Payroll.
Also, if the user is not a Payroll user i.e. does NOT have YES in the Payroll User column, then you CAN update their email address directly in Express Leave, and it will not be overwritten when data syncs from Payroll. This type of user should normally be a Non-Employee or a system user that you do not need to integrate to Payroll and display leave balances etc.
