Attaché: Reset the password for an Attaché user

Attaché user passwords can either be changed by the user themselves or by a high-level Attaché user on site who has their user rights set to both Can add users and Can maintain user profiles. People on site and Attaché consultants who can log into Attaché as Supervisor have the rights set to Can maintain user profiles by default.


For a User to change their own Attaché password

  1. Select File, User Preferences this will open the user Preferences window.

  2. Tick the box Change password at log in (If this box is greyed out the user has no password).

  3. Log out of Attaché and then log back in.

  4. You will need to enter your New Password and to Confirm New Password.


For an Attaché user who Can maintain user profiles to change a user's password

  1. Select File, Maintain Users, Maintain.

  2. Enter or select the users Username.

  3. Make sure Password Required at Login is ticked on the Details tab.

  4. Click onto the Preferences tab.

  5. Tick the box Change password at log in.

  6. Advise the user to log out of Attaché and then log back in.

  7. Advise the user that they will need to enter their New Password and to Confirm New Password.
