Based on the National Employment Standards for personal (sick) leave, full-time employees are entitled to 10 days of personal carer's (sick) leave and part-time employees are entitled to a pro-rata of 10 days of personal carer's (sick) leave, based on their ordinary hours of work.
Example 1: Jane is a part-time employee who works 20 hours per week for a year. For one year, she will accumulate 40 hours of sick/personal carer's leave (the equivalent of 10 days' work for her).
Example 2: Peter is a full-time employee who works 38 hours per week for a year. For one year, he will accumulate 76 hours of annual leave (the equivalent of 10 days' work for him).
It is recommended to set up one leave table for Personal Carer's (Sick) Leave to accommodate Jane and Peter's leave entitlements.

Type a Leave Accrual Code and Description for the Leave Table.
Set the Income Category to Sick Leave.
Set Display in and Calculate by to Hours.
Set Entitlement to 1 Hours.
Set Entitlement Period to 26.0714 Hours.
Set Entitlement Received on to Completion of Entitlement Period.
Complete remaining fields as required and choose Accept (F9).
📌Notes:
Entitlement Period is calculated based on a full-time employee accruing 76 hours in a year with 365 days working 38 hours per week according to Fairwork NES. The calculation is: 365 days per year / 7 days per week * 38 hours per week / 76 hours of leave pa = 26.0714 hours per 1 hour of leave.
It is recommended that if leave is set to Calculate by Hour, then Display in should also be expressed in Hours. Entitlements expressed in days or weeks will calculate based on the Hours per Day and Days per Week in the employee Masterfile which could lead to misleading values.
