Attaché: Restore the Attaché icon it is missing from your Windows desktop

The Attache shortcut icon may disappear from the desktop when the computer cannot access the mapped drive during computer startup.

To restore the Attache shortcut icon to your desktop complete the following steps below.


Windows 10

  1. Open File Explorer.

  2. Click on the Attache mapped drive. e.g. N:\AttacheBI.

  3. Go to the AttacheBI folder.

  4. Scroll down until you see the AttStartBI.exe program.

  5. Right-click and select the option Send to.

  6. Select Desktop (Create Shortcut).


Windows 11

  1. Open File Explorer.

  2. Click on the Attache mapped drive.

  3. Go to the AttacheBI folder.

  4. Scroll down until you see the AttStartBI.exe program.

  5. Right-click and select Show more option.

  6. Choose Send to.

  7. Choose "Desktop (Create Shortcut).
