Attaché Cloud Hosted Services: Export reports

How do I export reports from Attache Cloud Hosted

Updated over 3 months ago

Outputting reports via ExpressLink and Report Viewer (DevX) is slightly different in the cloud-hosted environment: you need to first save the exported report to your computer because the cloud server does not have Microsoft Office.

Exporting standard reports via ExpressLink

To export standard reports using ExpressLink:

  1. In the desired report, select Screen as the Output Device to display the ExpressLink toolbar.

  2. Click the Save (F5) icon on the toolbar.

  3. Browse to This PC.

  4. In the Redirected drives and folders section, you'll see any drives or folders redirected from your local PC to the hosted server. Note: For faster saving, the Quick Access menu can be used to save locations on your computer or remote server.

  5. Double-click the redirected drive or folder.

  6. Navigate to the location where you want to save the report.

  7. At Save as type, chose the file type to export. For Excel files, choose Tab delimited files.

  8. If you wish, you can change the Filename.

  9. Click Save and the file is now saved to your local computer in the folder you specified.

Tab delimited files can be opened in Excel by dragging and dropping the file into Excel or by opening via Open, Browse.

Exporting Report Viewer reports via DevX

To exporting Report Viewer reports via DevX:

  1. Click the button with the desired file type in the Export area of the toolbar. In this example we'll use XLSX File.

  2. Select the output options that you require.

  3. Click OK.

  4. The Save As box is displayed with the local redirected drives in the left pane. (These can also be found under This PC in the Redirected drives and folders section.) Note: for faster saving, the Quick access menu can be used to save locations on your local computer or the remote server.

  5. Navigate to the folder on your local drive where you would like to save the file.

  6. If you wish, you can rename the file.

  7. Click Save.

  8. The saved .XLSX file can now be opened in Microsoft Excel on your local computer.
