Access Attaché: Create a bank file to your PC when using Attaché on Access Evo

How do I export a bank file when using Attaché on Access Evo

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Attaché on Access Evo uses Windows drive redirection to create bank files on your local computer. This stops the requirement to save the file on the remote server and then copy it to your PC for upload to the bank.

📌Note: If you don’t have a dedicated folder in your local environment where you save bank files, you first need to create one before doing the steps below

In this example, we use the Payroll module. The steps are identical for Suppliers.

To create a bank file to your PC when using Attaché on Access Evo (previously called Access Workspace):

  1. In Attaché, go to Payroll Workflows, Process pays, Create bank file.

  2. Click into the Destination Path field, and then:

    1. Click on the magnifying glass icon or (F2)

    2. Use the Select folder popup to navigate to the local folder where you want the bank file to go.

    3. Highlight the folder and click Select.

  3. The Destination Path field should now be populated with something like \\tsclient\[folder path]. Click Save (F5) to save the configuration for future use.

  4. Continue the process as normal. The bank file will be saved to your local machine's C:\BANK\ folder and can be uploaded to the businesses bank portal from your local machine.
