Attaché: Backup Scheduler failed to run

Updated over a month ago

When the Attache Backup Scheduler is configured, you are able to specify the Destination folder.

While this can be on another drive or even another PC, the program needs to write data to the users Local Appdata folder as a temporary location.

The backup takes data from 2 locations:

  • The company Resources folder (located in the Attache program folder).

  • The AttacheServer\Data\<company name>.dbs.

The Resources folder is compressed to a temp file in C:\Users\<username>\Appdata\Local\Temp and then the data from the company dataset is compressed to the same location. The files are then merged and copied to the final Destination folder.

So regardless of where the destination folder is, you will still require enough free space on the local C: drive to allow this. You may need your IT Support or Network Admin support to help you with clearing enough free space for the backup scheduler to complete successfully.
