Attaché: ODBC error '17450 CT Invalid user id' when using Excel

If you are receiving the error above, follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

  • Ensure the credentials being used on the DSN are correct.

  • Ensure that the username and password are valid and that the password is entered in Capitals.

  • Test the Credentials by logging into Attache to confirm they work.

  • Ensure the DSN in Excel is updated and is using the new credentials over the saved old credentials.
