Attaché Payroll (Australia): Change an employee from Full Time to Part Time

To change an employee from Full Time to Part Time in Attaché Payroll you will need to make some changes in the employees Masterfile and Standard Pay.


Modify the Employee Masterfile

  1. Go to Payroll, Masterfiles, Employee Details, Maintain

  2. On the Pay Details page change the Employment Status to Part-Time and the Base Hours per pay period to the current hours.

  3. Check the employees' pay rate. This may be best processed as an hourly rate in Pay Rate Type field.

  4. On the Leave page see what Leave Tables codes are being used on the table for Sick, Annual and Long service leave.

  5. Go to Setups, Payroll, Leave Tables, Enquire and check how the codes are setup.

  6. If the codes are not setup to use the Hours Calculation method, then you will need to change the codes to those with this setup or create new ones accordingly.

Modify the Standard Pay

In the Standard Pay for the employee, you will need to modify the hours saved to be what they currently are now.

  1. Go to Payroll, Masterfile, Employee Standard Pays, Maintain.

  2. Select the Employee Code and Accept to proceed to the timesheet screen.

  3. Highlight the Normal Hours line and modify the number of hours to reflect the current hours worked. This can be left blank if hours are likely to change each Pay Period.

  4. If the hours are left blank, then a Timesheet would need to be created to pay the employee each Pay Period.

  5. Accept to save the line.

  6. Modify or Insert any other lines to reflect the new arrangement.

  7. Accept and Finish to save the new template.
