Attaché: Create an archive and find the archive file

How to perform an archive backup of an Attaché company and locate the archive file and folder in Windows File Explorer

To create an archive (backup) of an Attaché company

  1. Go to File, Archive Current Company.

  2. This begins the backup process. You can see the names of the files scroll by as they are archived.

  3. When finished, the message Data archived successfully is displayed.


To locate the archive file that has been created

  1. Choose Tools, Company, System, System Status.

  2. Note down your Program Directory, e.g. C:\apps\AttacheBI.

  3. Your backup will be located within the ARCHIVE folder in your Program Directory for each company, e.g. C:\apps\AttacheBI\Archive\CompanyName

📌 Note: Archives are saved in the format: YYYYMMDDHHMM_COMPANYNAME.zip

For example: 202103111721_COMPANYNAME.zip
