You may find that the Pay Period ending date for your last pay in the financial year may cross over to the new financial year.
When you process a pay, you enter the Date Paid and Pay Period Ending dates on the Check Pay screen in Attache.
However, it is the Date Paid date that determines the financial year it belongs to, including what year it gets reported in for Single Touch Payroll (STP). This means that:
Any Date Paid dates that fall on or before 30th June belong in the 2025/2026 year.
A Date Paid date that falls on 1st July or after belongs in the 2026/2027 financial year.
Date Paid examples for last pay of the financial year
The Pay Period Ending is July 15th, but the Date Paid is June 30th. This pay belongs in the 2025/2026 financial year.
The Pay Period Ending date is June 30th, but the Date Paid is July 2nd. This pay belongs in the 2026/2027 financial year.
