Asset Management Location Groups (accessed from Asset Management, Setups, Asset Management, Location) provides a table to set up and maintain your Asset Locations. Asset Locations are used to identify the physical location of an asset and can be used to group similarly located assets together.
Maintaining an asset
The maintainable part of the Asset Location table is divided into two:
Code: Up to six characters - this is a key field.
Description: up to 30 characters.
📌Note: The description field can be edited at any time, but Attaché Fixed Assets will not allow you to edit a key field.
Mistakes must be corrected by deleting the line using Cancel (F3) and re-keying it (this can only be done if the Asset Location is not currently used on any Assets).
A blank line may be inserted into the table where the cursor is by using New Group (F7).
The table automatically sorts the Locations into alphabetical order.
