Attaché Payroll: Create a new employee pay advice form

Attaché supports any number of designs for pay advices.

You can create new pay advice forms using one of the following methods:

  • starting from a blank form

  • starting from an existing form

If you use an existing form as the starting point for a new form of the same type, the existing form remains unchanged and both forms are available for use.

📌Tip: If you intend to use only one design for a form, do not create a new form. Modify the {MASTER} form as required, so that the software uses it by default.


Creating a new pay advice form from a blank form

If you choose this method, you design a new form starting from a blank page. It is usually quicker to modify an existing form unless you are experienced with designing forms and you require a design that is substantially different to any existing form.

To create a new form from a blank form:

  1. Choose Setups, Payroll, Forms Designer, Pay Advice. The Open Form dialog box is displayed.

  2. Choose New. The New Form dialogue box appears.

  3. Choose Blank Form.

  4. At the Save as field, type a name for this form.

  5. Click OK.

  6. The Page Setup dialog box is displayed. Complete the Page Setup dialog box. Refer to forms Designer Help and User guide.

  7. Click OK to open a new blank form.

Creating a new employee pay advice form from an existing form

This method applies to creating a form based on a standard form or based on a pay advice of the same type, and in the same company, previously created by you.

To create a new pay advice form based on an existing form:

  1. Choose Setups, Payroll, Forms Designer, Pay Advice. The Open Form dialog box is displayed.

  2. Choose New. The New Form dialog box is displayed.

  3. Choose Copy of Existing Form, then in the Copy this Form field, select the form you wish to copy Alternatively, select to copy from a Standard Form.

  4. Type a name for the form in the Save as field.

  5. Click OK. The new copied form is displayed for you to modify as required.
