The Monitor file in Attaché is used to store data when you have tracking changes set up. This file can get large over a period of time and in turn can affect the size of your archive files. To reduce the size of the monitor file do the following:
Go to Tools, Company, Delete Track Changes Files, Delete Monitor Files.
Select the Date you want to delete records to (this date will depend on your requirements for keeping tracking changes data).
Once completed get all users to exit Attache.
Go to Tools, Data Checks, Compress Data and select Monitor Changes file.
Then do Tools, Data Checks, Index File Optmiser and select Monitor Changes file.
Once completed users can log back into Attache.
In extreme cases, the Monitor file can be manually deleted from the database folder. In this instance, please raise a new case and reference the title of this article so we can assist you further.
