Updated over 2 months ago

Follow the steps below to set up a printer with a terminal server or on the Attaché

Cloud Hosted Services environment.

Set up Windows printers as shared resources

This is so these printers can be accessed from TS or CHS sessions.

  1. Click Start, type Remote Desktop Connection.

  2. In General Tab, select the Computer name in Enter the name of the remote computer before you proceed to setting up shared resources.

  3. Click on Local Resources Tab, tick the Printers option in Local devices and resources.

Using your systems default printer in a terminal server session

These instructions will help you with using your systems default printer in a terminal server session:

  1. Make sure you can print to that printer from the Terminal Server session itself from Control Panel Devices and Printers & print a test page from that printer. (If that works go to the next step).

  2. Now set that printer as default printer within the TS session.

  3. Open Attaché and go to the report/document you want to print.

  4. Go to the Output tab.

  5. Select Printer Checkbox.

  6. Press F6 to open the Printer menu list.

  7. Select Clear (This will force Attaché to use the machines default printer).

  8. Make sure it now says None Selected.

  9. Print the doc. (This will now print out the printer you are after).
