A pay can be entered as an adjustment or timesheet after an employee has been terminated.
When you enter the adjustment or timesheet, after selecting the employee code you will receive a message prompt 'Terminated Employee. Continue? Yes/No". Select yes and proceed to enter the pay.
However, to make sure YTD figures are correct for Single Touch Payroll, you should enter the pay in the payroll company that relates to the financial year that the employee was terminated. For example:
If the employee was terminated in the current financial year, enter the pay in the current payroll company.
If the employee was terminated in the previous financial year, enter the pay in the historical payroll company relating to the previous FY.
Once the pay has been processed, even if the employee has been finalised in Single Touch Payroll, the YTD figures will be updated to reflect the latest pay event/STP batch.
