Flexi-time is a scheme where employees can choose when to start and finish work, subject to a minimum number of hours for a prescribed period. Employees can work additional hours that they accumulate and then take as leave. A similar scheme is Time Off in Lieu (TOIL). Unlike RDO schemes, flexi-time allows for flexibility in the number of hours accumulated and in when employees can take their leave.
To accumulate and pay employees flexi-Time you need to set up income types using the Flexi-Time income Category. Unlike other types of leave, you do not set up leave tables for flexi-time.
Two income types are required for flexi-Time:
Flexi-Time Accumulated (-)
Flexi-Time Taken (+)
As part of Attaché Payroll, you receive sample settings that you can copy to use as the basis for establishing a Flexi-Time scheme. For more information about copying sample settings, see Using the Payroll Setups sample company.
