Attaché Cloud Hosted Services: Create bank files to my local computer

Updated over 3 months ago

A new CHS customer may find their bank file is missing or they can't find the bank file after run Bank Transfer process. Attaché system will give error about "Path not found" when running Bank Transfer process because Attaché is running on the CHS server now and it may not have the same SAVED folder location in Bank Transfer screen.

To resolve this issue, user needs to create the "Bank file" folder on their PC. e.g. C:\Bank Files and then change the Bank transfer screen parameter to save the bank file in the new folder above.

To create a folder on your local computer where the bank file will be created

  1. Open File Explorer.

  2. Navigate to the C:\ drive on your local computer.

  3. Right-click in an empty area and select New then Folder to create a new folder.

  4. Name the folder appropriately, for example, BANK FILES.

Change the Destination Path in the Bank Transfer screen

  1. In Attaché Payroll, go to Payroll, Process Payroll, Bank Transfers. Note that you must run the Check Pay process first.

  2. In the Destination Path field, click magnifying glass icon or choose F2.

  3. Drop down the list in Select Folder, Look in: field, Look for C on XXXX where XXXX is the name of your local computer. open this folder and look for the BANK FILES folder we just created above.

  4. Left click the BANK folder (or whatever you named the folder) and click Select.

  5. The Destination Path field now contains the path to the BANK FILES folder, for example, \\tsclient\C\BANK FILES.

  6. Choose Save (F5) to save the setup for future use.

  7. Choose Accept (F9) to close the task screen.

  8. Create the bank file as usual. The file will be saved to the folder on your local machines from where you can upload it to your bank portal.
