Attaché Accounts: Customer Quotations

Updated over a month ago

Accessed from Customers, Transactions, Quotations, Create or Modify, Customer Quotation Entry is used to maintain quotations for customers and prospects. A prospect is someone with whom you currently do not do business and therefore does not have a customer code.

Each quotation can include the following line types:

  • Product.

  • Service.

  • Sundry.

  • Comment.

Customer Quotation Lookup

Accessed from Transactions, Customers, Quotations, Lookup.

By using Lookup, you can look up quotations without modifying them. You can look up quotations for a particular customer, or for all customers and prospects, and you can specify the order in which you want to list them.

Drill-down to Masterfiles

A drill-down function allows you to drill down to information stored in Masterfiles from selected transaction lookup screens. If drill-down is enabled, a red triangle appears in the upper right corner of the field. To drill down, double-click on a field or Tab to the field to highlight it and then press Enter. You can also select Lookup (F9) on a drill-down field, where available.

Printing and sending documents

All customer and supplier transaction lookup screens include an Output (F2) function when a document is highlighted. Use this to send documents directly to print, fax or email; mark documents as printed; choose a special form code; and add inclusions if sending by email.

Delete Customer Quotations

Use this program to permanently remove quotations from the system.

You can specify any combination of the following ranges:

  • Expiry Date.

  • Customer Code.

  • Quotation Number.

If you specify any ranges, the program deletes only the quotations that match all of the ranges you specify.

To keep your system running efficiently, Attaché Software recommends that you regularly delete unneeded quotations and other documents.
