In any screen, the body can be a Product line, service or a sundry. The Product line and services lines will default to Line, Location, Product Code, Description etc.
When it is a Sundry line, this has to be modified so you have Line, Description, GL etc. If the sundry line default to showing product or service code, you can delete the Product/Service code and replace with description, GL code etc.
To modify the lines on a screen, do following:
Go to Setups, Customers, Screen Designer.
Choose the screen to modify, i.e. Order or Invoice or Quotation.
Click Open F9 to open screen to modify.
Click Section F4, choose Sundry Line.
To remove fields not required for the line, select each and click Delete (F2).
Move field Description to the start of the line so there is room to add GL code field for instance.
Click in space between Description and next field (most cases Qty field), click Data (F9).
Scroll through field list, use PGDN PGUP to find the field you need.
Select G/L Cost, or G/L Sales or the suitable GL field for the process.
You can resize and move the field so it fits in perfectly.
Click on new field and Click Modify (F5).
Correct its Field status to Display Only or Edit.
Correct the Entry Sequence.
Click Accept (F9).
Make sure new field is selected, click Zoom In (F4).
Add the new field if not showing then click on the field and Click Modify (F5).
Correct its Field status to Display Only or Edit.
Correct the Entry Sequence.
Click Accept (F9).
Click Zoom Out (F3).
Click Save (F7).
Close screen, click Close Esc and test.
