Attaché Payroll (Australia): Can you enter an adjustment pay after finalisation in Single Touch Payroll

Updated over a month ago

If you need to, you can enter an adjustment for a finalised employee.

When you process an adjustment pay for a finalised employee, the employee can stay finalised. The processed pay will produce a new STP batch, and WILL update the YTD balances, but the employee will stay finalised.

📌Note: if you have already rolled over your EOY, the adjustment will have to be entered in the historical payroll company.

⚠️Important: For any adjustments done for employees that have NOT had a previous pay in the financial year, the STP batch for these adjustment pays MUST be signed and submitted on or before the end of the financial year (30/06). If not, the STP batch will get the error: The update is referring to a previous year where STP reporting did not occur CMN.ATO.PAYEVNT.EM92168. and you will not be able to submit that STP batch.
