Instead of providing a separation certificate, Attaché Payroll now has a Termination Reason field when entering termination pays. This is a mandatory field now that must be selected when entering a termination pay.
When entering a termination pay, select the appropriate reason for the termination, such as Genuine Redundancy, Dismissal, and so on. This allows the reason for the termination to be reported to Services Australia via Single Touch Payroll. In most cases, this removes the need for you to provide an employee with a separation certificate.
The article Enter an employee termination pay and terminate an employee details the full process of entering a termination reason code.
