Attaché Payroll: Express Leave - Employee with Sequential Leave approval type showing 'In Progress'

Updated over 2 months ago

Express Leave has the capability of having a two-level leave approval process called Sequential Approval Type, where there is a designated First Approver and Second Approver. For employees with sequential approval setup, both users have to respond to the leave request in order for an accepted or rejected leave request. However, when one or both of these Express Leave users are on leave the leave request will sit in 'In Progress' until it is actioned by both employees.

When this scenario occurs, the leave request will need to be accepted by an Express Leave user with the role of 'HR manager', as this level of access can bypass the sequential approvers. Please note that this is the only level of access that can bypass this approval type, and an Express Leave Administrator user cannot override this function.
