Updated over 3 months ago

Setting up RDO Income Types

For RDOs, you need to set up both of the following income types:

  • Auto RDO.

  • Manual RDO.

RDO's are set up and processed using three income types:

  • RDO Normal.

  • RDO Accrual.

  • RDO Payout.

Setting up Income Types for Auto RDOs

Attaché Payroll uses the auto RDO income types whenever an employee follows their normal work schedule.
The following table shows the auto RDO income types that you need.

Setting up Income Types for Manual RDOs

Manual RDO income types should be used when an employee does not follow their normal work schedule. For example; when an employee takes personal carer's leave.

The following table shows the manual RDO income types that you need.

🤓Tip: If an employee has irregular hours or has hours entered using shift tables, operators can use the RDO Normal-Manual income type in combination with the RDO Accrual-Auto and RDO Payout-Auto income types.

Setting up RDO Leave Types in Express Leave

In Express Leave, Income types for leave link with the Leave Types set up in Express Leave, accessible as an Express Leave Administrator user under the Company Management, Leave Types menu.

Due to the way RDO's work in Attaché Payroll, when you set up a leave type in Express Leave for RDOs for leave request entries, you can only setup the RDO Payout Leave type to link to the RDO payout income type.

You cannot then view an RDO accrued leave balance in Express Leave, you can only enter requests to take an RDO. for more information on Express Leave - Leave types, see Express Leave and Timesheets help and user guide, Leave Types in Express Leave section.
