Attaché Payroll (Australia): Lump Sum A, B, D and E in a Termination Pay and Payroll reports

For termination pays in Attache, lump sum amounts are entered on the Termination Pay screen on a Timesheet. Attaché strongly recommends that you check the information on the ATO website for details on how to process the different components of a termination pay and whether there is different tax applications. In general:

  • Lump Sum A and B: These fields are used for unpaid leave paid out on an ETP payment.

  • Lump sum D: Used for the Tax-free component of an ETP payment.

  • Lump sum E: Used for a Backpay relating to a previous financial year. Lump sum E is normally entered as an allowance with the Tax Certificate Code selection of Lump Sum Payment E.
