A logo is added to an Attaché form as a graphic, using an image file.
Images must be in a file format that is compatible with Attaché software:
Windows Meta Files (*.WMF)
Bitmap Files (*.BMP)
Forms Designer links the image to the form and only saves the link. Therefore, it is recommended that you place the required image within the Attache program directory, as it is less likely that the image file will be moved or renamed if located there.
To place an image on a form:
Go to the Forms Designer menu of the module your document relates to, for example, for a Customer Invoice go to Setups, Customers, Forms Designer, Invoice.
Select the form code that you want to edit in the Form Code field.
Use the dropdown arrow to check on available forms.
If you are not sure which form is used go to, for example, the Customer Masterfile (Customers, Masterfiles, Customers, Enquire) and select the Form Codes tab. If the form code field you want to edit, eg: Invoice, is blank then select to edit the {MASTER} form code. Otherwise select the form code listed.
Be aware different customers may receive different invoice forms.
Click the Ok button to edit the selected Form Code.
Click the Picture button (the one with a mountain and sun) on the tool bar. The cursor will change to a cross-hair symbol.
Place the cursor in one corner of the area where you want to place the image then click and drag to draw a rectangular border for the image. When the border is approximately the size required, release the mouse button.
While the border is highlighted, click the Properties button (the hand pointing to a white page) or right-click to display the Graphic Properties dialog box.
In the File Name field, enter the path to the location of the image file or click the Browse button and navigate to the image.
In the Location and Size area, type the dimensions of the image so that you do not stretch it out of proportion.
Choose OK. The picture is placed within the border you created in step 5 above.
📌Note: If the image is not displayed, it is because:
Forms Designer cannot find the file specified, or;
The specific path is too long, or;
The file type is incorrect. In this case, Forms Designer displays the file name instead of the actual image.
