In Attaché Payroll, you will need to check that all employees are on a Residents 0 Dependents tax table and if not, update them. There are two ways to do this, described below.

Option 1: Update tax codes that are not Residents 0 Dependents

  1. Go to Setups, Payroll, Tax Scales, Replace Employees' Tax Code.

  2. On the Selection tab, under Old Tax Code enter the tax codes that you need to change.

  3. In the New Tax Code column, select 0. (The tax code 0 is equal to Residents 0 Dependents.)

  4. On the Ranges tab, select Employees Code Range if required.

  5. Choose Accept (F9) to save your changes.

Option 2: Update individual employees

  1. Go to Payroll, Masterfile, Employee Details, Maintain.

  2. Select the employee.

  3. On the Tax tab, in the Tax Scale field, click the magnifying glass to see the list of tax codes and select 0 = Residents 0 Dependents.

  4. Choose Accept (F9) to save your changes.

  5. Repeat the above steps for each employee.
