You can only cancel a leave request if the status is Approved or Pending Approval. Please see details for cancelling leave in Express Leave where:
The leave request has not yet been processed.
The leave request has already been processed.
The leave request is for an employee who has previously been deleted from Express Leave.
To cancel a leave request that has not yet been processed
From the My Leave menu, choose My Leave.
Under My Leave Request History, locate and select the leave request.
Click the red Cancel button in the Action column. The leave request is cancelled.
📌 Note: If a leave request is entered for a past date or the same date as the entry date, you will not have the option to cancel it from the My Leave menu. It will be available to cancel from the Check Pay Period menu if you are an HR Manager or Administrator user.
To cancel a leave request that has already been processed
Whilst logged in as a HR Manager or Administrator user, go to Processed Entries menu
Select the processed batch that contains the leave request that you need to cancel and note the Date Processed date of the batch.
From the Records/Entries column click on the Records hyperlink to open the batch to see the included records.
From the Restore Entry screen, click the Restore button next to the leave entry you want to cancel, then click Ok to the confirmation message "Caution: Please confirm batch rollback. This cannot be undone". The processed entries will then be restored, and you will see a green balloon message come up stating "Batch Rollback Complete"
Under the Check Pay Period menu, enter the noted Date Processed date at step 2 above in the Last Day of Pay Cycle field and enter. This should now display all the entries processed from the restored batch.
Select the entry you require to be cancelled and click the Cancel button to cancel the leave request.
To cancel a leave request for an employee who has previously been deleted from Express Leave
In addition, if the employee has been deleted from express leave, you will need to create a support case to get the employee re-instated before you can cancel the leave requests. Once that has been done, you can follow the steps above to cancel the request.
