Update your ATO registration for the Attaché ABN change

Steps to notify the ATO of your new software provider so your Single Touch Payroll submissions are accepted after 13 November 2026.

The Australian Business Number (ABN) for your Attaché Single Touch Payroll (STP) software provider is changing. You can keep your submissions running smoothly by notifying the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) in two short steps: first in ATO Access Manager, then in Attaché. The principal authority or authorisation administrator for your business must complete the first step.

⚠️Important: You must notify the ATO of this change in Access Manager before your next STP lodgement after 13 November 2026. If you don't, your STP submissions will be rejected.

What is changing

Only the software provider details are changing. Your payroll data, BMS ID and employee records aren't affected, and nothing changes in your day-to-day use of Attaché. The details below show what is changing and what stays the same:

Detail

Information

Current provider

Attaché Software Pty Ltd, ABN 51 088 750 912

New provider

Access Software Australia Pty Ltd, ABN 40 071 007 326

Software ID

0001121588 (unchanged)

Cut-off date

13 November 2026, before your next STP lodgement

Batches you have already submitted remain under the current ABN. Only new batches you submit after the change use the new ABN.

Notify the ATO in Access Manager

You need to register the new provider with the ATO before you make any changes in Attaché. Complete this step before 13 November 2026.

⚠️Important: Only the principal authority or authorisation administrator in Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM) can complete this step, using myID. A standard payroll user can't do it. Identify the right person in your organisation now, and allow time before the deadline.

  1. Log in to ATO Access Manager.

  2. Select My hosted software services.

  3. Select Notify the ATO of your hosted service.

  4. Search for Access Software Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 40 071 007 326).

  5. Enter Software ID 0001121588 and select Next.

  6. Read the notification statement and select Save.

Move to the new provider in Attaché

Once the ATO has your notification, you can move your Attaché payroll to the new provider. Complete this step before 13 November 2026 and before your next pay run.

⚠️Warning: You can't undo this action once you confirm it.

  1. Go to the Standard Business Reporting menu.

  2. Click Move to the new Cloud Service Provider ID.

  3. Confirm the action.

  4. Verify that Access Software Australia Pty Ltd is now shown as your Software Service Provider.
