You may wish to deactivate a new or existing asset if you have activated the asset and find you need to change or modify some part of it, for instance you find that the depreciation rate is incorrect.
To deactivate the asset;
Go to Transactions, Assets, Undo.
Select the asset by highlighting it.
Click on the Undo button (Green Tick).
Say Yes to the Confirmation Are you sure you want to undo the selected transactions?
If it is a new asset with no depreciation transactions you can now modify the asset by going to Transactions, Asset, Create and selecting the asset and making the changes you need.
If you have already done depreciation runs for the asset you will need to select to undo all the transactions before your asset is deactivated.
