This article describes how to add a percentage column to an Attaché Financial report that can be used, for example, to give the percentage that a GL Expense account is compared to another GL account, whether that is:
An income account for budgeting purposes.
A total expense account for information purposes.
The percentages can be set up on an account-by-account basis and can be done for Total accounts as well.
To do this you need to set up a Custom Financial Report. If you want the report to have a similar format as the Standard Financials Reports, get the setup information by:
Go to General Ledger, Reports, Financial, Standard Financial Reports.
Select P&L Balance Sheet or other report as you need.
Select the Other Selections tab.
Take a screenshot of the Column Information section. Be aware that for a report with many columns, not all column settings are shown.
Set up General Ledger Masterfiles
Go to General Ledger, Masterfiles, Maintain.
Enter the Account Code that you want the percentage to appear on in your financial report.
Enter either Percentage Account 1 or Percentage Account 2. The Percentage Account is the '100%' account or denominator (e.g.: the 100 in 40/100 = 40%).
Note that a report can only display one of these percentage bases at a time, by selection when generating the report. So, for example, you could have Percentage Account 1 used for all posting accounts, and Percentage Account 2 for only Total accounts, as per your preference or other purpose.
Note also that you do not have to do this manually, you can use KFI to import the Percentage Accounts if it is easier for you to set up in Excel.
Create a Custom Financial Report
