This issue occurs when the Welcome Email has not yet been sent to any affected employee(s).
To resolve the error:
Log in to Express Leave as an administrator user.
From the Company Admin, Manage Users menu, use the Search field to search the employee in question.
Click the green Send Welcome Email button from Actions column on the right hand side of the screen.
The user should receive the welcome email. Follow the instructions in the Welcome Email to create your password.
The message is also seen sometimes with existing employees, and also where there is an existing employee in another Express Leave company. To resolve in these circumstances:
If you only have one Express Leave company:
Log in to Express Leave as Administrator.
From the Company Admin, Manage Users menu, use the Search field to search the employee in question.
Delete the user.
Create a request to Attache Support to reinstate the employee.
When the employee has been re-instated, support will advise this. Re-instating the employee will re-activate the welcome email, and you will be able to send it to the employee.
If you have multiple Express Leave companies:
Log in to Express Leave as Administrator.
For each company, from the Company Admin, Manage Users menu, use the Search field to search the employee in question.
When you have located the other company (or companies) the user is duplicated in, delete the user in this company (companies), and also delete the employee in the required company.
Create a request to Attache Support to reinstate the employee. Confirm in the request which company you require the user to be active in.
When the employee has been re-instated, support will advise this. Re-instating the employee will re-activate the welcome email, and you will be able to send it to the employee.
